Ahuntsic Bridge

Pascal Persillier-Lachapelle et fils

The original 1847 bridge, made of wood, was built by the contractors Pascal Persillier-Lachapelle et fils. The father, a former master tanner and a prosperous businessman, was the first resident of Sault-au-Récollet to move up into the local bourgeoisie.

Dufresne Construction

When the bridge was rebuilt in reinforced concrete in 1929, the work was carried out by Dufresne Construction, which drew up the plans in collaboration with L. J. Leroux, municipal engineer with the City of Montreal.
