Musée du Château Dufresne

Protection action

Abandoned between 1968 and 1976, the building was vandalized and its windows destroyed. Since being designated a historic monument, the Château has been restored with the help of the Macdonald Stewart Foundation, which provided the funds and repurchased the original furnishings from the estate of Edna Sauriol Dufresne, widow of Marius Dufresne.

Between 2002 and 2004, the City carried out restoration work, including the restoration of several works of art exhibited in the museum.
