After the 1912 Eucharistic Conference, where they met, Dalbé Viau (1881-1938), a specialist in religious and institutional architecture, and Louis-Alphonse Venne (1875-1934) founded the Viau et Venne agency. Their most well-known achievements include the Motherhouse for the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary in Outremont (1924), Saint Joseph's Oratory, the Verdun General Hospital (1930), and Cartierville's Sacred Heart Hospital (1924).
